Currently serving as Director of the Mott Haven Partnership. Dan is an active member of various coalitions in the South Bronx such as Destination Tomorrow Living in Color. Recently Mr. Tran was selected by  Schneps Media for their Bronx Power List Award in 2021, and Schneps Media  A List Bronx extraordinary men in 2022. Before this role, Dan has served as Community Organizer of the Mott Haven Community Partnership from June 2019 to January 2021. Prior to Dan's role as Community Organizer, he worked for CUNY Citizenship Now! the largest university legal free assistance program in the nation. In this role, Dan assisted LPR's by completing their N-400 naturalization form. In addition, in partnership with CM Levine D7 Dan assisted launching the Civic Exchange Initiative as the initiative Coordinator. Dan played an essential role in connecting the partnership to new community organizations, developing a social media presence, and connecting families in Mott Haven to needed resources during the pandemic. Some highlights of his leadership include supporting food pantries in partnership with MASA, St. Jerome HANDS Community Center, and the Mexican Coalition, coordinating the donation of over 2000 coats, supporting the launch of Mott Haven Fridge, a free walk-in pantry, and hosting Census knowledge-sharing events with the Census Bureau. In addition, Dan has partnered with city-wide agencies and community-based organizations to host knowledge-sharing sessions in the community via Zoom to inform residents of different practices and policies. He is fluent in Spanish and English. Whenever he's not working with the community or attending events, Dan enjoys outdoor activities and traveling.
