This is a great resource for parents in need of additional support for their kids to have extra activities at home. PBS Learn at home with kids (arts & crafts, math skills, activities, and more can support you with this.

The Excelsior Scholarship

Under this program middle-class families and individuals making up to $125,000 per year will qualify to attend college tuition-free at all CUNY and SUNY two- and four-year colleges in New York State.

Asap program

ASAP is a cost-free program that provides several incentives to remove financial barriers to full-time college students. Those who are eligible for financial aid will receive tuition. All students also receive MetroCards and textbooks to help reduce (or eliminate) the financial burden.

The FAFSA is a Free Application for Federal Student Aid that determines student eligibility for financial aid. There are financial requirements each student must meet to get federal student aid.

The Dream Act gives undocumented and other students access to New York State‐administered grants and scholarships that support their higher education costs.

BROnx eoc

Bronx EOC offers a career path, training, and preparation at no cost to you. Provides career training, high school equivalency preparation (GED), college readiness classes, job internship placement assistance, and Microsoft certifications to New Yorkers who qualify. All our services are FREE.

Provides adult students with successful pathways and transitions to post secondary education, apprenticeship training, and the workforce. 

Hostos

Continuing Ed and Workforce Development

Offers educational, career, and personal development opportunities designed to address the needs of the Bronx, and Upper Manhattan communities. Some of our offerings are free; most are available at a reasonable cost. We offer non-credit courses and certificate programs for adults.

Per Scholas

Per Scholas New York offers free hands-on technology training to students at their South Bronx and Brooklyn locations. Both locations are accessible by local MTA subway and bus lines.
