Governance team
Our Governance Team is comprised of community-based leaders with strong ties to the Mott Haven CD1 community. One of our main goals was to build a diverse network to include CBO’s, faith-based organizations, businesses, and lesser-known community groups.

Prior to joining the Mott Haven Community Partnership, Dan worked for CUNY Citizenship Now! assisting many lawful permanent residents naturalize and led several projects in the South Bronx for NYCARES.
Works for the New York Psychotherapy & Counseling Center Bronx site (Mott Haven). Anthony was one of our Strategic Planning Committee in 2019. In addition, Anthony has been a part of the hiring committee for different roles at MHCP.

is a Public Health Educator III for DOHMH’s Environmental Exposure Assessment & Education Program. She has been with DOHMH for over 25 years. She has a Master of Public Administration in health administration from Long Island University in Brooklyn.

Senior Staff Attorney
Bronx Legal NYC
Is a senior staff attorney at Bronx Legal Services. Nelson is a member of the Mayor’s School Safety Community Partnership Committee. Over the last 20 years Nelson has represented hundreds of families in a wide range of education law issues. Nelson received a dual degree JD & MSW from the University at Buffalo and his BA from Binghamton University. He is also a proud product of the NYC public school system graduating from the Bronx High School of Science.

Reformed Church
is the senior pastor of the Mott Haven Reformed Church in the South Bronx; the CEO/Founder of Children’s Haven: A Place of Healing & Hope, Inc. and the lead organizer of the Mott Haven Initiative for Children of Incarcerated Parents. Her work in social justice is centered in providing healing and transformation for children, families and communities impacted by incarceration through the power of the gospel.
